Jeff Bloom is from Bangor, MI west of Kalamazoo, and has been racing more than 50 years. His dad was a racer, so Jeff has been going to races since he was a baby. Jeff ran his first Supermodified race on asphalt in 1967, and switched to Sprints in 1971. He also raced stock cars for a few seasons in the early 1970’s before making the decision to focus on Sprints. Since then, Jeff has competed in both Winged and Non-Winged Sprint events in car #26. Jeff was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2013. Jeff is a retired ironworker, has worked in a machine shop, as a carpenter, and in retail sales. When he isn’t racing or working on cars, Jeff enjoys fishing, ice fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
