AT THE TRACK

WELCOME TO THE SPEEDWAY

We are working hard behind the scenes to make your experience the best ever. Being courteous to your fellow spectators, respectful to competitors, and disposing of trash in the receptacles provided will ensure that everyone has a good time. For your comfort and convenience, you may want to bring a blanket, cushion, or stadium seat, a jacket (it can get chilly once the sun sets), or a rain poncho. Ear protection is strongly recommended, especially for babies, young children, and those with sensory issues. Thanks for coming, and enjoy your night at the Speedway.

ABOUT US

PAST: The Dixie Motor Speedway located at 10945 Dixie Highway in Birch Run, Michigan opened in 1948 with a 1/3 mile oval. The dirt track was paved in the 1960’s, and a Figure 8 Course was later added to the infield. After the Kern family took over in 1996, the Speedway continued to grow in popularity and possibilities with the addition of a 4/10 mile, progressively banked, asphalt oval short track.

PRESENT: The Dixie Motor Speedway has a new name and a new owner. For more information, check out the story on ABC-12 News. The roar of racing returns to the BIRCH RUN SPEEDWAY & EVENT CENTER with the season opener, EVE OF DESTRUCTION, on FRIDAY, JUNE 30th, 2017 at 7:30 pm.

FUTURE: New owner, Andrew Suski and General Manager Michael Szukhent are making plans to improve the 49 acre site in Birch Run Township, and expect to expand events in the future to include a flea market, farmers’ market, craft shows, and outdoor concerts. Follow us on Facebook for news and information about upcoming events as we gear up for the 70th anniversary of the track in 2018, and WATCH US GO!
